Glacier Star with extension, or 488 geese later. . . .

The top is finished!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It needs a good pressing, then ?? I don’t know if I want to try to quilt it myself. I keep thinking of quilting designs, but I’m not sure I have the skill to carry them out. I don’t want to mess it up after 488 flying geese!

If you look at the picture closely, it looks like the left side is brighter, almost like stained glass. It’s because of where it is placed in the living room, the only place large enough for the picture. Here’s the un-cropped photo. The DGK’s had moved all the furniture to the walls so they could build a fort. Works for me!

Happy Quilting,

Becky

Great. That is a big top and it is a real joy to have it finished. I think that maybe the pattern I bought but I have not started.

Holy Quiltworx, Quiltwoman, that is spectacular. I have a growing fascination with the Judy N designs and suspect I will try one in the future - resistance is futile.

Yours is spectacular, but, just between you and me, would you do it again?? Would you do another one, or at some point did you decide you had enough but continued on because you had invested too much time, work and money to quit?

The results are amazing, but it must feel like being hit by a tidal wave of paperpiecing.

Awesome! It looks so great. I'm not sure I'd be brave enough to count all the geese :-)

What an accomplishment. Hum, it does scream out for custom quilting. You will be so thrilled when it is totally done whether you do it or someone else does it for you. Amazing! Great color choices.

Wowzer! This quilt is striking. Love the design and the colors you selected.
Wow, what a beauty! I'm a decent quilter on my domestic machine but when I've made a quilt that's really great, I know it will become a 'masterpiece' if I send it to a professional who will do something really special. That's what I'd do with this amazing quilt of yours!

WOW WOW WOW WOW Becky!! I've watched this quilt from the start and you worked hard! I wonder what you call a bunch a geese that big--more than a "gaggle"--goose poop nightmare??!! Congratulations on a wonderful finish!
